Amu to host North Zone VC Conference


ALIGARH November 29: The Aligarh Muslim University, in collaboration with the Association of Indian Universities, will host the North Zone Vice Chancellors' Conference on December 15-16, 2014. About 137 Vice Chancellors have been invited to this important academic event devoted to the theme, "Research for the Benefit of Humanity". Beside, issues and challenges related to the higher education, delivery system, teaching methodology, faculty professional development, educational planning and administration, and the role of stakeholders in the higher education sector will be discussed at length at the Conference.
The Aligarh Muslim University, which has been consistently ranked as one of the top ranking institutions of higher education, takes it as a privilege to organize this programme which will go a long way in shaping and orienting the higher education in the decades to come.
Lt. Gen. Zameer Uddin Shah (Retd.), Vice Chancellor, has expressed hope that this Conference will prove to be a milestone, and help the general public appreciate the role of universities, especially research in catering to the diverse needs of the nation.
